The first (annual) Hawaii Industrial Hemp Field Day was a roaring success. Elected officials, agriculturists, hemp business people, interested residents and the media attended. CNN National sent a crew, and if anyone sees the coverage, could you please let me know.
The weather was warm and a bit humid, the hemp plants were thriving in the sunshine, and a particular strain developed by David P. West, Ph.D. was awesome!
It’s time for the DEA to remove the shackles from this agricultural crop. Sugar is dead in Hawaii, and a number of our agricultural corporations want to plant industrial hemp as a viable crop for the Islands.
The Second Annual Hawaii Industrial Hemp Field Day is tentatively scheduled for Labor Day Weekend 2001 in Wahiawa. Join us!
