The 3rd international scientific-technical symposium Bioresource Hemp 2000 took place from September 13th till 16th in the Congress Park of Wolfsburg.

More than 300 participants and speakers from 28 countries used the worldwide meeting-place of the hemp industry for intensive exchange of information and for initiating projects, cooperations and business contacts. Like in recent years, several innovations were introduced. For example, an Australian scientist reported on the first commercial subtropic (industrial) hemp strain, a new low-cost technique for the production of insulation materials has been developed in Denmark, and a German automotive company for the first time presented the use of natural fibres in automotive exteriors.

The Bioresource Hemp was organized by the nova-Institute of Hürth, for years experienced in the field of market research for renewable resources, in collaboration with the event and promotion agency TriTec GmbH of Bochum.
