Meeting to discuss hemp trials
Industrial hemp advocates will hold a meeting in Motueka next week to discuss producing trial crops in the area. Motueka Employment and Small Business Centre board member Pat OShea said the group would meet once a month to discuss marketing, uses for industrial hemp and barriers to its production.

Vermont Hemp Resolution passed by House
On Thursday May 11, The Vermont House joined the Senate in the passage of JRS098: Urging U.S. DEA and U.S. Congress to reconsider Federal policies that restrict the cultivation and marketing of industrial hemp and related products.

nova-Study on Markets and Price Situation of Natural Fibres (Germany and EU)
The first public presentation of the study was yesterday at FAL Braunschweig. More than 60 companies and institutes working with flax and hemp fibres participated and discussed the study. The summary is now available in English and German (a French version will follow soon).
