B.F. “Chris” Christiaens, D-Great Falls, passed the House Wednesday on an 82-17 second-reading vote. It passed the Senate 45-5 in February.

    The New Zealand government said on Friday it would allow cultivation of trial plots of industrial hemp under strict guidelines. The two year trial would see hemp growing licences issued to people who can justify the size of the crop, the end use and appropriate security features, Health Minister Annette King said in a statement.
