Hemp crop is a bit of a blow for Essex boys
According to the Home Office, the plant being grown is not marijuana but its less glamorous cousin industrial hemp. Some countries ban the cultivation of hemp for fear that it will be used to camouflage an illicit crop of marijuana, but the plant itself is not intoxicating.

Hemp focus of new Melbourne museum
The museum features educational materials about hemp, including the fact that George Washington used it to make textiles during the Revolutionary War. It was used for Army uniforms in other wars and for industrial purposes, according to Kevin Aplin, president of the cannabis network.

Hemp industry looking for bumper season
Tasmanian hemp producers are hoping for their largest ever season. Crops will be grown around the state from October through to March, with the hemp going to the international market to be used in food and clothing. Phil Warner from Ecofibre Industries Australia says up to 175 hectares will be grown this summer.

Hemp-powered car rolls into town with a message
Grayson and Kelli Sigler are traveling across North America in a donated white, 1983 diesel wagon. They started in Washington, D.C., on July 4 and will return Oct. 2. In the end, they will have traveled 10,000 miles every one of those on hemp oil instead of diesel.

HempCar update
Last night Hemp Car swerved its way in to New Orleans LA. Definetly an interesting place. Even in the dark! Hemp Car broke the ten thousand mile barrier in Roswell NM. Then Hemp Car broke its 18 year old original alternator in Ft. Stockton TX. It took three days of hurry up and wait to amass enough correct replacement parts to fix the maladjusted generator.

Hempseed oil produces dramatic increase in blood level GLA
Results showed dramatic increases of blood GLA from hempseed oil but significant decreases of blood GLA from linseed oil. The Finnish researchers found statistically significant differences between these two food oils relative to each other and to the wash out period of the study.
