  1. Hemp is “a field of dreams” that can’t be irradicated by DEA

  2. Hemp trials “have wider agenda,” says Heatley
    National MP Phil Heatley has attacked proposed legislation allowing industrial hemp crops as a “stalking horse” for legalising cannabis. Green MP Nandor Tanczos has proposed a law change removing hemp from the Misuse of Drugs Act, making it legal to grow it in New Zealand. But his bill has been put on hold until the results of hemp trials are known.

  3. Hemp trials judged succesful
    The first year of industrial hemp trials are showing signs of success — which could be bad news for dope smokers. A parliamentary select committee has heard the crops have shown potential when they’re grown properly, and there have been no security breaches.

  5. Legal farm theft
    The 2002 Farm Bill where more than 9 million acres to the nation’s conservation reserve, a program that pays landowners to take land out of production. It’s a sad fact that Washington D.C. pay’s more attention to Saudi Arabia, and not American Family Farmers that can plant grow and produce industrial hemp into bio-diesel, alcohol, feedstock and other useful products.

  6. Legal hemp gets little support
    The November 5 ballot includes a citizen-initiated proposal to legalize hemp for industrial purposes. The product could be grown and marketed if it contained no more than 1 percent tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the substance that gives marijuana its kick. Supporters of the ballot measure call hemp the most versatile crop on earth, used in paper, rope, cloth and twine.

  7. MASH it up
    Residents of Bloomington-Normal have taken notice and formed the activist group MASH — Mobilizing Activists and Students for Hemp. According to the group, they are talking about the injustices against the hemp plant, and people seem to be listening.

  8. MotherHemp rides high on organic “superfood” hemp bar!
    MotherHemp announce the launch of its new organic hemp “superfood” bar — “MotherHemp organic apple and cranberry bar.” The healthy hemp seed, fruit and cereal snack bar that is seriously good for you! The bar priced at 59p ($.92) will be on sale in the UK from September 17th in all good health food stores and in Sainsbury’s — (“well being” sections).

  9. National Hemp Lobby Day
    Hemp Lobby Day is Wednesday, October 2nd Attendees of the 9th Annual Hemp Industries Association (HIA) Convention will be meeting with Senators and Representatives on Capitol Hill to discuss the steps needed to re-authorize industrial hemp farming in the USA.

  10. The homecoming of hemp
    The critical role of Essential Fatty Acids (EFA’s), particularly Omega-3’s, in human health is gaining acceptance and attention in established scientific, nutrition and medical circles. Hemp has a very high concentration of EFA’s, particularly Omega-6 (linoleic) and Omega-3 (alpha linolenic) acids. Hemp oil is claimed to have the highest ratio of “good fat” of any vegetable seed oil.
