1 ½ cups Nutiva Organic Shelled Hempseed
½ cup honey
Lightly toast seeds in a pan, let cool, and finely grind 1 cup in coffee grinder (keep ½ cup for crust). Empty into midsize bowl.
Add honey gradually and knead until smooth. Make sure mixture is solid enough and not too sticky.
Roll out dough on a board or plate, ½ inch thick, and cut into 1 to 2-inch strips.
Spread remaining unground seeds onto plate.
Roll strips in seeds until completely covered.
Store in refrigerator.
This is an excellent example of the replacement of sesame seeds with hempseeds in traditional Mediterranean sweets.
