    Community Television of Santa Cruz County has confirmed that the 2001 Santa Cruz Industrial Hemp Expo panel series will be cablecast live on local channel 27. Five panels are scheduled for Expo weekend, Saturday and Sunday, May 12 and 13 at the Civic Auditorium in Santa Cruz, California.

  7. 760,000-plus pot plants destroyed
    Narcotics officers from the Texas Department of Public Safety, with help from the Air National Guard and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, destroyed more than 760,000 marijuana plants across the state in 2001, officials said.

  10. 99HEMP Issues’s Rope Not Dope
    In November, Alaskans will have the opportunity to vote on an initiative, known as 99HEMP, to legalize the various derivatives of cannabis sativa. If the measure passed, it would legalize marijuana cultivation, possession and use. It also would make it possible for Alaskans to grow industrial hemp.
